Who Am I

Hello everyone, my name is Reif Gerhart

I started photography in high school, and what began as a simple interest quickly became something much deeper. From the first time I picked up a camera, I was hooked on the ability to freeze a moment in time and capture light, atmosphere, and feeling in a single frame. Over the years, that passion has only grown stronger.

I was born and raised in Montana, and the outdoors has shaped both who I am and how I photograph. The sweeping prairies, rugged mountains, dramatic skies, and quiet backroads are more than just subjects to me. They are home. Landscape photography is at the heart of my work, driven by a love for natural light, changing seasons, and the raw beauty this state has to offer. I am also deeply drawn to wildlife and astrophotography, documenting everything from fleeting encounters with animals to the vast, star-filled skies that make Montana nights unforgettable.

As I continue to grow as a photographer, I have been expanding into portraiture and commercial photography. I am excited by the challenge of telling stories not just through landscapes, but through people and brands as well. Whether it is capturing an individual’s personality, creating compelling imagery for a business, or helping bring a creative vision to life, I approach every project with intention and attention to detail.
